Ms. Owen coordinates SDSU’s tutoring program, teaches various General Studies courses (GS 100 – University Experience, GS 143 – Mastering Lifetime Learning Skills, GS 282 – Tutoring the College Student and GS 399 – Applied Peer Assistant Training III), and advises students who are undecided about their major.  She assists students with their transition to SDSU and with developing study skills to help them achieve success in college. Ms. Owen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 1996 and her Master of Science in Counseling and Human Resource Development in 2002, both degrees from SDSU.

Ryan Knigge

Mr. Knigge graduated from SDSU in December, 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies.  He has worked for the College of General Studies since September, 2004, when he started his undergraduate degree.  Mr. Knigge has also been involved with other SDSU student support services on campus.  Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling. 

As a Graduate Assistant in the College of General Studies, Mr. Knigge provides support to the Wintrode Tutoring Program, teaches GS 299 (Applied Peer Assistance Training Level 2), advises students with undeclared majors, and participates in student recruitment and retention programs.

Keely Lawton

My name is Keely Lawton.  I am a junior Human Development and Family Studies major with minors in Sociology and Gerontology.  I am originally from Inwood, IA.  I am also a sprinter on the track team and the peer minister of service at the University Lutheran Center. 

Fun Fact:  This summer I had my hip scoped and can’t run for 4 months…and I pierced my eyebrow!


Megan Brandlee

Hi!  I’m Megan Brandlee.  I am a sophomore Dietetics major with a minor in Chemistry and am from the small town of Bristol, SD.  I enjoy hanging out with friends, working out, and watching baseball games and movies.

Fun Fact:  This summer I got a golden retriever puppy named Sadie!  She is sure a handful!


 

Brooke Bennett

Hey! My name is Brooke Bennett. I am currently a freshman and am from Sioux Falls, SD.  I love to go shopping and watch hockey. I also like relaxing, watching movies and hanging out with my friends. I plan to major in Interior Design with a minor in Business.

Fun Fact: I love to travel and plan to study abroad in Australia.


Seth Erickson

Seth Erickson

I am a sophomore Consumer Affairs Major with a double minor in Business and Psychology. I’m from Groton, SD.  I like to play sports, lift weights, and run during my free time.  I also like to hang out with my friends and family whenever possible.

Fun Fact: I coach and play baseball during the summer, so I hardly get any days off to relax. And I was born on the 4th of July.
